EXPERIENCE

Mr. Adrian Gayle gained experience in commissioning Transmission and Distribution systems and substations while working at Alstom/Areva T&D from 7/2000 to 5/2009 and then with Schneider Electric, Montreal from 11/2010 – 11/2012.   He then moved back to the US and worked for Vertiv (formerly Emerson Network Power) for four years before joining PCE. Since joining Power Consulting Engineers in 2018, he has maintained his commissioning expertise in protection and controls, relay calibration in distribution systems and has added battery testing to his site experiences. During his time with Alstom, Areva T&D, and Schneider Electric, Mr. Gayle has performed power systems relaying and Protection and Control commissioning in Utilities and Industrial substations ranging in voltages from 500kv down to 15kv. He was fully responsible for all quality assurance of electrical equipment for site installation, testing, and commissioning.  This also privileged him to also work internationally at major utilities in Saudi Arabia, Mexico, France, Egypt, Germany, and an LNG plant in Africa just to name a few.

Duke Energy – Raleigh, NC

QA, install, wire and test electrical apparatus (protection panel, circuit breakers etc.) and functionally test/commissioned numerous utilities including solar plant throughout Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas.

Oglethorpe Power – Dalton, GA

Calibrated and tested various protection relays including functional testing.
